Brimmer Named GNAC Men’s Rookie Of Week
Bermuda’s Jazario Brimmer scored twice last week for his University team, leading him to be named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference [GNAC] Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week.
Brimmer plays for Johnson & Wales University, and the school’s website said, “Known for its defense, the Johnson & Wales University men’s soccer team has been picking up the offense of late.
“Freshman Jazario Brimmer scored twice last week in two JWU victories to earn GNAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office.
“Brimmer [Pembroke, Bermuda] is the third Wildcat honored by the league this year – joining Nicholas Mancini and Yohann Assouramou – but the first to get the top rookie honor.”
“On Saturday, Brimmer helped the Wildcats lock up the second seed in the upcoming GNAC tournament when he scored on a through ball in the 29th minute. That goal proved to be the game-winner as JWU defeated Lasell, 1-0. He also scored at Albertus Magnus to up his season total to four goals.”
