Cornerstone Confirm Person Has Been Removed

October 19, 2017

The Cornerstone Bible Fellowship has stated that after an allegation of “abuse towards a minor surfaced” they “immediately reported it to the proper authorities,” and said the “person has been removed.”

The Church said that the abuse was alleged to “have taken place before the formation of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and the matter is now in the hands of the authorities.”

“To our knowledge, no minor has ever been abused under the care of Cornerstone since its inception.”

The Church said they “condemn abuse in the strongest terms” and noted that the person “has been removed.”

“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that persons in our care are safe and protected,” the Church told Bernews.

“Our focus now is the practical care and concern for the victim and their family [who we're working very closely with] and the healing of our church family and wider community.”
