One Hour Video: History, Evolution Of Gombeys
People had the opportunity to learn about the history and background of one of the island’s iconic traditions, as the Bermuda National Trust hosted an in-depth discussion on the origins and evolution of the Bermuda Gombey.
Gary Phillips hosted the talk at Verdmont, with the event serving as part of this year’s Bermuda Gombey Festival, which was expanded to an entire weekend, with the final event seeing multiple Gombey troupes perform at an evening showcase at the Botanical Gardens.
