Par-la-Ville/Church Junction Lights Out Of Order
[Updated] The City of Hamilton is advising the public that the traffic lights at the junction of Par-la-Ville Road and Church Street are currently out of order.
“City of Hamilton personnel are on site and tending to the issue which has been hampered by the weather. The City has called upon the Bermuda Police Service to assist with the directing of traffic but motorists and pedestrians are asked to proceed with extreme caution in this area, especially during the upcoming busy rush hour,” a spokesperson said.
“The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for their patience and understanding as it works swiftly to rectify the issue.”
Update 4.18pm: The police said, “The Corporation of Hamilton has advised that traffic lights at the junctions of Par-la-Ville Road and Church Street as well as Bermudiana Road and Church Street are currently defective and will be out of service until at least later tonight.
“In an effort to minimize traffic congestion, motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible and if not, to proceed with caution through the affected intersections until the situation has been rectified.”
