RUBiS Energy Launches “Fuelling 4 A Cause”
RUBiS Energy Bermuda announced the launch of the second “Fuelling 4 a Cause” promotion.
Mr. Graham Redford, Managing Director of RUBiS, said: “Residents may recall that last year, as part of RUBiS’ 10th Anniversary of operations in Bermuda, and in order to help celebrate that milestone, we decided to expand our normal charitable giving by developing a competition and promotion that financially benefitted 24 local not-for profits and charities and promoted the services that each provides.
“As a result of the positive feedback we received from our customers, and the charities themselves, we decided to once again support the community and have launched the second RUBiS Fuelling 4 a Cause promotion.
“The competition started earlier this year where we reached out to our employees, dealers and dealer’s staff and asked each of them to nominate their 5 favourite not-for-profits and charities. The results were collated and the top 24 charities were contacted and given the opportunity to submit a photo illustrating how RUBiS helps to get them going.”
All submissions were reviewed by a judging panel and twelve charities were selected to be featured as one of the twelve monthly images for our extremely popular 2018 calendar. Additionally, each of the twelve will have a featured tag day in the RUBiS Network during 2018, and will also participate in the ‘Fuelling 4 a Cause” promotion.”
Jermaine Simons, Sales Manager of RUBiS explains how the promotion will work: “From now through to December 4th, 2017, RUBiS will donate 5c per US Gallon of fuel sold at its network of service stations.
“The process is simple. Fuel up, then visit our Facebook Page and vote for your favourite charity by clicking the Like icon. A photo album has been created on the RUBiS Facebook page containing all 12 of the Charity 2018 Calendar Headline photos.
“The album will be pinned to the top of the page during the duration of the campaign and we encourage the general public to vote for their favourite charity by clicking the Like icon. The total donated will be pro-rated amongst the twelve charities based upon the amount of Likes that are captured for each image. There will not be any purchase requirement for persons to vote.
“To make it even more fun for the motoring public, there is also the opportunity to win free fuel! If you visit one of our RUBiS stations, and purchase $20 or more of fuel, you might be approached by a RUBiS representative and asked if you can correctly identify within one minute any one of the 12 charities that are part of the 2018 Fuelling 4 a Cause promotion. If you answer correctly, you will win a $20 fuel voucher instantly.
“The twelve charities include; Action on Alzheimer’s, Adult Education School, Bermuda Diabetes Association, Centre Against Abuse, P.A.L.S., St. David’s Primary PTA, The Family Centre, The National Trust, The Reading Clinic, Warwick Academy PTA, WindReach Bermuda, and the Women’s Resource Centre”
Mr. Redford concluded by saying: “We are committed to Bermuda and we are proud to be able to help these worthy charities, who all provide important support and services for our Island residents. Last year, we donated over $30,000 and are hoping that with the support of the motoring public, we may be able to donate even more this year.”
