Advisory: Gifts For Waste Collections Staff

December 14, 2017

The Ministry of Public Works is appealing to residents to use caution if leaving a gift for their waste collection handlers.

A Ministry spokesperson said, “The Ministry is grateful to the public for showing their appreciation by leaving gifts for waste collection handlers.

“However we are requesting that gifts not be left on collection routes after receiving reports that some items have been stolen prior to the collections teams’ arrival.

“Rather than leave gifts curb-side, residents are asked to take any gifts for collections staff to the Marsh Folly Depot on Palmetto Road. If they leave their street address our staff will ensure gifts are delivered to their waste handlers.”
