Ball Hockey: Montreal & Toronto Maple Win
A total of 13 goals were scored in a double header as the Bermuda Ball Hockey League season resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink.
Montreal Canadiens 3 Vancouver Canucks 2
In the opener the Montreal Canadiens scored two goals in the final period to edge the Vancouver Canucks 3 – 2. The Montreal Canadiens would go ahead 1 – 0 in the first period with a goal off the stick of Bill Calko, but Christopher Jackson would level the score at 1 – 1 when he scored in the second period for the Vancouver Canucks.
The Montreal Canadiens would go ahead 2 – 1 in the third period when Chriss Allington scored, they would then find themselves ahead 3 – 1 when Andrew Bonner scored, Jackson would pull a goal back for the Vancouver Canucks with 2 minute remaining, but they could not find the equalizer.
Toronto Maple Leafs 5 Winnipeg Jets 3
The Toronto Maple Leafs picked up their first win of the season stunning the league leaders Winnipeg Jets winning 5 – 3.
Christopher Merritt would lead the Toronto Maple leafs to victory with two goals, while John Duda, Scott Shannon and Jordan Gunter all added a goal each, while the Winnipeg Jets got two goals from Matt Benson and a single strike from Jeremy Estey.
