Coalition Grateful For Holiday Giving Support
The Coalition for the Protection of Children thanking the generous individuals and corporate donors who gave to this year’s Toys for Tots program.
A spokesperson said, “The Coalition for the Protection of Children would like to thank the generous individuals and corporate donors who gave to this year’s Toys for Tots program.
“Once again, the community has demonstrated the true spirit of holiday cheer by giving to families who need support during this time. Over a thousand toys were collected and distributed to families that work with the Coalition as well as other helping organizations.
“We were happy to work with and give gifts to families through the Department of Child and Family Services, the Family Centre, Salvation Army, The Center, Open your Heart Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters. We know that hundreds of families are positively impacted and there will be many joyful faces this Christmas as a result of this kindness.
“Due to the generosity of HSBC, the Coalition will distribute hampers to 126 families. Hampers include a turkey voucher and gift certificate for an additional $50 worth of groceries.
“As Bermuda’s social and economic conditions remain fragile, many families are struggling to provide for their most basic needs. Through the kindness of the community, we are grateful that we are able to provide support to those who are experiencing hardship. We wish all of Bermuda’s families a safe and happy holiday season.”
