Butterfield & CPC Launch Toys For Tots Campaign
Butterfield is once again partnering with the Coalition for the Protection of Children [CPC] to launch its annual Toys for Tots campaign, inviting the Bermuda community to come together and help make the holiday season brighter for local children and families in need.
A spokesperson said, “A longstanding holiday tradition, Toys for Tots brings together individuals, families and businesses across the island to provide gifts and essential support to those facing financial hardship during the festive season.
“From now until Monday 7 December, members of the public are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys for children aged 12 and under, gift cards for teenagers, and vouchers to help parents with everyday essentials, including groceries, clothing and utilities.
“Donations can be dropped off at participating locations across the island, including:
- Butterfield Banking Centres: Front Street and Somerset
- Price Rite Stores: Pembroke and Warwick
- Annex Toys at Phoenix [gift cards in addition to toys]
- Arnold’s Discount Warehouse
- Gorham’s
- Little People’s Pharmacy
“All toys should be donated unwrapped to allow the CPC to distribute gifts appropriately to children and families. Donations will be collected and distributed by the CPC ahead of Christmas.
“In addition to toy donations, members of the public can purchase gift cards for teenagers at Annex Toys at Phoenix, People’s Pharmacy, Impressions Artistry, Luxury Cuts, and Mystique’s.”
Kelly Hunt, Executive Director of the Coalition for the Protection of Children, said, “We are delighted that Butterfield is our community partner for Toys for Tots. The holiday season can be especially difficult for families struggling to make ends meet. Through Toys for Tots, we can bring a little extra joy and festive cheer to those who need it most.
“None of this would be possible without the generous support of everyone involved and, above all, the extraordinary kindness of our community. We appreciate each person who has contributed to this initiative in the past. Giving back is a lesson best learnt early, so we encourage parents to involve their children in this meaningful initiative.”
“This year, the goal is to collect 2,500 donated items and everyone is urged to give generously once again so that no child goes without this holiday season.”
Jody Feldman, Butterfield’s Managing Director in Bermuda, said, “At Butterfield, we believe in the importance of supporting the communities we serve, particularly during a time of year that can be challenging for many families. Toys for Tots is a meaningful tradition that brings people together through generosity and kindness. We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Coalition for the Protection of Children and encourage everyone who can to contribute and help make a difference this holiday season.”
A spokesperson added, “Butterfield and the CPC encourage residents and businesses across the island to get involved and help spread the spirit of giving this holiday season.”
