A Bulgarian man pled not guilty to eight different offences involving credit card and ATM offences.
Danail Damov pled not guilty to damaging the Bank of Butterfield ATM at Collector’s Hill on September 4, 2016. He also pled not guilty to damaging the Butterfield ATM at the Ice Queen in Paget on October 13, 2017.
He also pled not guilty to possessing a drill for the purpose of an offence; two counts of possessing a machine that could make debit or credit cards which could be used in a fraudulent manner; to steal money from the Bank of Butterfield; transferring customer credit and or debit card details in relation to criminal conduct; and one charge of stealing money from Butterfield Bank.
Mr Damov speaks limited English, so counsel Victoria Greening said they would be applying to Legal Aid for an interpreter and that the courts pay for the interpreter for his trial.
Mr. Damov is next scheduled to appear in court on January 8, 2018.
