Photos: Princess Christmas Cookie Competition

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club hosted a Christmas cookie competition  for children across the island.

Children aged 12 and under were submitted two Christmas cookies of any type and decorated judged by Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s General Manager, Executive Chef and Pastry Chef.

The judges were looking for Christmas cookies that are well decorated, reflect the spirit of the season and are tasty. The winner was received a pastry class for themselves and up to four other people of their choosing, to be taught by the resort’s Pastry Chef.

A spokesperson said, “The four winners and their prizes were:

  • 1st place – a private pastry class for the winner and four other people was won by Fasika Simons [11 years old]
  • 2nd place – a gift certificate for a pastry class for three people was awarded to Amariah Kirkos [7 years old]
  • 3rd place – a gift certificate for a pastry class for two people was won by Rachel Baumgautner [11 years old]
  • 4th place – a Bermuda make-up bag was awarded to Meron Simons [12 years old]

“All of the runners-up were gifted Hamilton Princess & Beach Club merchandise.

Ricardo Cera, Executive Chef at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said: “We were thrilled to host the Christmas cookie competition for kids. It was a great opportunity for children to use their imagination and to celebrate the Christmas holidays. We look forward to hosting the winner and their friends for a pastry class.”

“The judging took place at the Harbourview Ballroom in the hotel on Thursday, December 21 at 2:30pm and the winner was announced shortly after, when the judges had compared notes. Hot chocolate and light refreshments were served to all those who attended.”
