“Bring Lyrico Home” Fundraising Page Launched
The family of Lyrico Steede — a 17-year-old Bermudian student who died after suffering serious injuries after being attacked in England — are holding a potluck dinner to raise funds to bring Lyrico and his immediate family back to Bermuda, along with assisting with funeral costs.
The event will be held at the Dalton E. Tucker school auditorium on March 10 at 5.00pm.
The family has also launched a GoFundMe page, which says, “The family of Lyrico Steede welcome donations to assist in bringing him home.
“Lyrico was a 17-year-old Bermudian residing in the United Kingdom as a student. He originally went off to school a few years ago to be with his sister Lyric and their father Jermaine. Lyrico was doing very well, but he really wanted his mom and sisters Lexxs and Legecy to be with him also.
“Lyrico was an extremely quiet, but happy and humble child. He has been this way since birth. Rico was a true mama’s boy and as a child, he always wanted to be with his mom. Even in his teen years, he remained close with his mom, which was the main reason that she decided to uproot her life in recent months and moved over to the UK.”
“Unfortunately, Lyrico’s life was brutally taken after a vicious senseless attack in England on February 13, 2018. We anxiously want to bring Rico home and give him the funeral that he deserves, surrounded by his family and his childhood friends.
“As you can imagine, this has been completely devastating to his parents Keishaye and Jermaine, and also to his entire family. He was very loved. Parents should not have to bury their children, especially due to an incident so tragic.
The flyer for the potluck dinner says, “The family of Lyrico Steede are holding a potluck dinner to raise funds to bring Lyrico and his immediate family back to Bermuda along with assisting with funeral costs.
“The event will be held at the Dalton E. Tucker school auditorium on March 10, 2018 at 5.00pm.

“If you prefer delivery, tickets should be purchased in advance. Please note that tickets are optional for all, however mandatory for delivery. If you wish to make a donation, please send to 010 186237 013.
