Delayed Posting Of HSBC Card Transactions

HSBC Bermuda debit card transactions from December 29 to January 1 were “not posted to customer accounts due to technical issues,” and the posting was completed on February 6th the bank confirmed, adding that they “are waiving the overlimit fees attributed to this issue.”

In response to queries from Bernews, an HSBC Bermuda spokesperson stated, “It was identified that HSBC Bermuda Debit Card transactions from December 29, 2017, to January 1, 2018 were not posted to customer accounts due to technical issues.

“The posting of these transactions completed on the morning of February 6, 2018. To ensure customers were made aware of the situation a notice was published last week highlighting the matter on our public website www.hsbc.bm.

“HSBC Bermuda will make every effort to ensure our customers are not adversely impacted due to the delayed posting of these transactions.

“To this end, HSBC Bermuda are waiving the overlimit fees attributed to this issue and will provide enhanced support to clients via our Contact Center.”
