Magma To Release ‘Level Di Vibes’ Remake
Bermudian reggae artist Adam Mayo aka ‘Magma’ is set to release a remake of the Half Pint’s classic ‘Level Di Vibes,’ with Magma saying it was “humbling to be in the studio with him to do over the song.”
“The radio disc jockeys love the smooth feel of Love Life and I am getting a lot of love for Level Di Vibes remake,” the singer told the Jamaica Observer. “I am very proud of the Half Pint remake because he is one of my heroes in reggae music, and it was humbling to be in the studio with him to do over the song.
“The track came out well, and I leaked it to radio, and the streets, and given the overwhelming response, me and Half Pint are going to do a video in February,” he added.
According to the Observer, ‘Levels Di Vibes’ will be officially released mid-February via iTunes and other downloadable music platforms on his own Moltenrock Productions label.
Magma’s past hits include his cover of Paul Simon’s ‘Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes,’ which he co-produced with Kevon Brown and Donovan Joseph for his Moltenrock Productions label.
He also launched an album titled ‘The Mission’ in 2015 and is hoping to launch another album later this year:
“I have been recording a number of songs, and doing a lot of writing with my friend Danny English,” Magma told the Jamaican Observer. “I feel we have enough songs to release another album maybe later this year, right now, mi a level the vibes and put in the work.”
