Princess Launch New Vegan Burger At Marcus
Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has launched the Beyond Burger, a Beyond Meat plant-based vegan burger, at Marcus’.
The Beyond Burger is available from today for $26 and is served with French fries [cooked in vegetable oil] and topped with vegan cheese, tomato, lettuce, dill pickles, HP secret sauce and served on a sesame seed bun.
“Marcus’ is the first restaurant on the island to offer Beyond Meat’s cutting-edge, plant-based meat substitute, which is notable for looking, cooking, and tasting like ground beef. It is made entirely from plants, without genetically modified organisms, soy, or gluten,” the hotel said.
“Based in Los Angeles, California, Beyond Meat is dedicated to developing meat directly from plants. Their investors include Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, Twitter co-founders Biz Stone and Evan Williams and the Humane Society of the United States.”
Danai Hongwanishkul, Executive Chef de Cuisine at Marcus, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer another delicious option for vegan diners at Marcus’ and the Beyond Meat burger is an exciting new dish for us in the kitchen. We are dedicated to creating gourmet options for all of our guests, whatever their dietary requirements.”
This is the third vegan menu item on the menu at Marcus’; the others are Jerk Cauliflower with Jewelled Rice and a Veggie Bolognese [without the parmesan cheese]. Reservations at Marcus’ can be made by calling 441-298-2028 or emailing ham.diningreservations@fairmont.com.

$26 for a burger that doesn’t have meat? Was that a typo?
Wonder how much a burger made of meat costs!
I may be vegetarian but I’m not an idiot with my money.
beyond meat.. $5 for 4 patties.. do you greens have enough..
Really? Where from? I’d love to be able to try them.
How incredibly exciting! BN, would you mind confirming with the Fairmont Hamilton PR people that there is nothing GM in this burger, plus no corn syrup nor anything hydrogenated, please? Also, my nine year old is enthralled by the picture and I’m inclined to take him down there for a special treat – but he can only eat gluten free – any chance? He might be a bit small for the bitter taste of radish too, would Chef Marcus mind removing them? Thanks. Can’t wait!
Hi Sharon! We’re so pleased to hear that your nine year old wants to try it out! The burger is GMO, soy and gluten free. However, we unfortunately don’t have gluten free buns – although we do have gluten free bread or we could serve it “naked”. The chef would be more than happy to remove the radish or any other toppings that you request.
Great, Thanks soooooo much for replying. We’ll be down sampling soon. Hope you have a busy Valentines Day.
Are you trolling? You can’t be serious.
LOL
Up until the time I moved out of home we had two choices.
Take it , or leave it .
$26 for a pre-packaged burger?! LMFAO…
3 years ago one of their ‘non house brand’ Martinis was $17
And we wonder why tourism (and us) is struggling .
Money must truly grow on trees .
who cares, way to expensive anyway
You can buy these beyond meat burgers at miles for a faction of that price ,of course you gotta cook em yaself
Can’t call it a burger if it ain’t got meat
