This article is a Breath of fresh air, finally something new…i’m sure OJ will still have something ignorant to say though.
I think this is a great idea
ATVs, NOW THIS, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO BERMUDA!! Are we actually starting to think outside the box!!
Waiting for the privacy complaints…
the views will be stunning!
Best of luck with this initiative!
Go for it. Not a new idea for Bermuda. During the 70s somebody had plans to do the same thing from a Spanish Point location. Whoever it was must have found it unfeasable because it never happened.
As one who has attended the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival a little knowledge has been gained on the subject. They don’t even fly if the wind is over 10kts. A balloon capable of carrying only 4 people is a very big thing. The windage on a balloon, even a small 4 passenger one, is something is something incredible. Have assisted in landing a few. It takes some doing to stop them & hold them till the envelope is deflated. Can’t imagine what it will take to anchor & winch something capable of carrying 20 people in even 10kts of wind. Seen the commercial ones that carry at least 10 people. The envelopes are huge.
Respectfully this sounds like a grand idea but, like a few other wild ideas attempted before, bungey jumping, 2 person hovercraft, submarine, it is not going to fly.
Keep drifting triangle.
Your an expert of every subject.
A very intelligent reply. Thankyou.
There was also one approved a few years ago for dockyard (sally port area) which never got off the ground
I wish I could tie a balloon to you so you can float away like the obaUBP did July 2017.
Well dey said de plp would never win a gain and we did so never say never.
I could be wrong… but, isn’t immediately east of the ferry dock in in the sound? Not a great place to park a car…
It is a Helium balloon, not hot air.
Yes the picture certainly is of a helium balloon, however another story about it says hot air. Anyones guess which it is. My bets would be on hot air. Much easier to inflate & deflate.
Can we send Tweed and Furbert up for a turn?
Good luck.
Ps.
Triangle, keep drifting.
Imagine the views…there’s one of these in Bournemouth…I’m too chicken to go up…
