Outerbridge & Lindsay Win Eye Institute Classic
The 15th annual Eye Institute Classic Road Race took place in the east end, with runners taking a route around Cut Road in St. George’s, with Ryan Outerbridge and Gayle Lindsay racing to victory.
Outerbridge, fresh from his performance at the 2018 Carifta Games, crossed the line in a time of 18.07, with Bermuda Winter Olympian Tucker Murphy finishing second in 18.21 and Teddy Shum placing third in 18.36.
Lindsay continues to dominate the local ladies scene clocking a winning time of 19.08 finishing 5th overall, while Martina Olcheski-Bell was the second female finisher and 14th overall with a time of 21.08, with Leana Coetsee the third female finisher and 15th overall clocking 21.45.
