Video Replay: BLDC Community Town Hall

April 5, 2018

The Bermuda Land Development Company Limited [BLDC] hosted their community engagement session for the Ships Wharf Redevelopment Project this evening [Apr 5] at Clearwater Middle School.

The event was attended by a number of people including area residents, business owners and, area MPs Junior Minister of Disability Affairs Tinee Furbert and Minister of the Cabinet Office with Responsibility for Government Reform Lovitta Foggo.

Last month, the BLDC invited local and international companies to “submit their qualifications to be considered for future proposals to design, build and operate two major infrastructure projects in the East End – an energy generation facility and a cargo port at Ships Wharf.”

  2. Um Um Like says:

No need to submit anything since this is already a done deal. Does anyone really think designs and plans can be completed in two months? It takes longer than that to build a one bedroom cottage! Friends and family will get this.

The RFP is only so that this gummint can claim that they’re open and transparent.

Wake up, Bermudians! You had to be deceived, again.

Why so much support required from the mediator/facilitator. Can she not let them speak for themselves. I don’t think they need an attorney at this point
