BUEI Announces Board & Officer Appointments
The Board of Directors of The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] has announced a number of appointments.
Carol Dixon – Chairperson – Board of Directors
A spokesperson said, “The Board has unanimously approved Carol’s appointment to Chairperson with effect from June 1st 2018. She has been an integral member of the Board providing oversight and strategic leadership to BUEI. Her experience in governance and love for the marine environment will continue to be a valuable asset. Carol is a member of The Institute of Directors and will serve for two years.”
Tara Curtis – Chief Executive Officer
“Tara will join BUEI with effect from July 1st 2018. She has a strong background in the not for profit arena, having served as the Executive Director of The Bermuda Cancer & Health Centre for the last 10 years. She brings a depth of experience in strategic planning and management and is a welcome addition to The Institute.
“The Board would like to recognize Faith Conyers and Mel Ferson, who have served as Chair and Director of BUEI and provided tremendous guidance and growth to the organization. The Board is extremely appreciative of their invaluable contribution.”
