CP Athletic Awards Event Set For June 10
CP Athletic will hold its awards and recognition event on Sunday, June 10, with the event aiming to “celebrate the progress that each member has made over the past year.”
A spokesperson said, “The success of the 2017 World Futsal Championship gold medal winning team will be acknowledged and the two 2018 teams that are working hard to build on the legacy in Orlando this July will be introduced. Finally, those members leaving this year to continue their schooling overseas will be recognized. The ultimate goal of CP Athletic is to guide members off to further education. Their mottoes are “Education through athletics” and “We hate to see you leave, but we love to see you go”
“CP Athletic uses futsal as the primary sport for athletic training. The fast paced game requires quick reactions and split second decision making. As a result, members who participate in other sports have seen their progress in squash, tennis, and cricket to name a few. The 80 plus members are from across all parishes and sectors of the community and range in age from 5 to 26.
“The venue is the Trudeau Room at Hamilton Princess. Dress code is semi formal, no jeans, sneakers t-shirts, hats or sportswear. Tickets are $10 for each attendee over the age of 5 and are available on ptix.bm.”
