  1. Ringmaster says:

So basically a Party Political event on Government school grounds. Government is supposed to be apolitical and paid for by taxpayers. Why are taxpayers paying for the PLP to have a political rally? Only in Bermuda could a political party get away with this, because their supporters don’t care.

    • Quinton B. Butterfield says:

Why would the school/government pay for this event? Wouldn’t the PLP pay the school/government for use of the facilities? Do you have some inside knowledge that the normal transaction procedure was not followed? Do tell.

      • nerema says:

And what ‘normal transaction procedure’ was that?

I want to hold a political rally and I want to use a school. Who do I contact and what will it cost?

    • Infidelguy says:

I totally agree with you. This would be unacceptable in other jurisdictions.

      So Ridiculous!

    • Onion Juice says:

      Like how BTA was started?

    • Ken More says:

Their supporters are sheep. They have no brain of their own, they do what they are told to do. Such a waste.

    • Vote for Me says:

Does the OBA (or the former UBP) hold rallies?

      • Wahoo says:

No they depend upon getting the facts out rather than throwing a party and indoctrinating people. I guess they have faith that the voting public can discern fact from frivolity…..

        • yesitsme says:

LOL, how that work out for you last time…..

      • PBanks says:

Didn’t they have a kite fest some time back? Apart from that I’m not aware of any public festivities that they organised.

    • Question says:

They take public assets and use them as though they own them.

    • Wahoo says:

      Supporters don’t know or understand.

  2. Mark says:

Get off my school and out of my neighbourhood

  3. Really says:

You know they love a party as well as an opportunity to bash the OBA. Remember 2 Bermuda’s. SMH

  4. cpm says:

Why have they had rallys at Warwick post office Tatem school and now another school?
As a taxpayer I am asking questions about the legality of these events
We will of course get answers because the plp are transparent
But wait, she is back, so we have 4 days of plp propaganda before the voting

  5. Longtail says:

Nothing new. The PLP have long used schools for Branch meetings and other activities…. it is part of their ‘grass roots’ approach of putting politics into schools.

  6. facts of the rock says:

    plp Properganda exercise in Brainwashing

  7. LaVerne Furbert says:

The PLP used public school fields and halls when the UBP/OBA were the government. I guess they were complicit in the wrong-doing, if there was any. But those of you who are concerned can ask to see a copy of the form that was completed and the cheque that was submitted for payment. So petty!!

  8. Johnboy says:

    The AG is very photogenic.

  9. PBanks says:

Man, this event got almost as many people complaining about it in the Bernews article, as people who went to the event itself!

  10. Mark says:

LOL. same pics of the same 3 kids again and again and then old people…typical PLP failed propaganda. no one in the neighbourhood cared! lol
