Photos: Saltus School Hosts Sports Banquet
On Wednesday evening, the Saltus Athletic Department held their annual Sports Banquet to which every student who had represented the school at the Varsity and Junior Varsity level was invited.
“This is 67% of the High school age group,” the school noted. “A large turn- out of well-dressed students enjoyed a meal served by the Athletic Department staff. This was followed by a presentation by Athletics Director, Darrin Lewis, on how the school plans to further support our athletes both in the sports arenas and in the classroom.
“The evening concluded with the award of colours to all of those who had made a significant contribution to the teams, Coach’s Awards to those who were the best team members, awards and thanks to the coaches and referees, and finally the Saltus Athletes of the Year.
“This year the awards were made to Tia Burrows and Neil Figureido. Both of these students had made a terrific contribution to the school teams and the sports program in general.”
