The island’s top athletes were honoured as the Department of Youth and Sports held an awards ceremony at the Berkeley Institute, with Tyler Butterfield and Jessica Lewis being named the 2019 Male and Female Athletes of the Year, while Kenny Leseur and Elan Daley were named the Junior Male and Female Athletes of the Year. On a separate note, I find it interesting to see very little in the way of social distancing and/or masks in these photos, especially after the Blu shenanigans last weekend. Of particular disappointment is Mr. Burt himself, stood what, a foot (12 inches) away from the young man holding the glass trophy? Even worse, he’s practically touching the gentleman holding a similar trophy. Another case of “do as I say, not as I do”.
In NO WAY defending the two very stupid MP’s who have recently “stood down” for their hypocritical behaviour, however find this incredibly hypocritical of our Premier and reeks of double standards.
