Bermuda Defeat Mexico In World Lacrosse

Bermuda have won their final match of the FIL World Lacrosse Championships, this time defeating Mexico 9 – 6 in Israel.

Bermuda took a 3 – 0 first period lead with two goals from Armand Wilson and a single strike from Bobby Walker.

Mexico then outscored Bermuda 3 – 2 in the second period, getting two goals from Timothy Gonzales and a single strike from Juan Contreras, while Drew Jenkins and Rance Cole would score a goal each for Bermuda, as Bermuda took a 5 – 3 lead to the break.

The game was level at 6-6 at the end of the third period as Mexico outscored Bermuda 3 -1, Contreras would score his second of the game, along with goals from Ernesto Melero and Javier Halffter, while Jenkins added his second for Bermuda.

In the fourth period Bermuda shutout Mexico 3 – 0 to win the game, as Cole added his second, while Jenkins completed his hat-trick and James Chiappa added the other.
