Bermuda Finish CAC Games With Three Medals
The Central American and Caribbean [CAC] Games came to a conclusion in Colombia, with Bermuda finishing 19th on the medal table.
Bermuda captured two silver and one bronze medal during the games, finishing ahead of countries such as Honduras, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Haiti, Nicaragua, Cayman Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Guadeloupe, Guyana, US Virgin Islands and Martinique.
Standing on the podium for Bermuda were Noah Browne and Micah Franklin from Squash, Bowlers Rickai Binns, David Maycock and Damien Matthews, and Tyrone Smith in Track & Field.
Bermuda Chef-de-Mission Jon Beard said, “I am extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish, the athletes represented Bermuda very well.We had our challenges, but all in all I think we punched above our weight and again showed that we can compete.”
