BNAA Cross Country Season Set To Begin
The Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] announced the start of the 2018 Cross Country Season.
BNAA President Donna Raynor said, “We are looking forward to an exciting season and all of the running clubs have met to decide and agree on the criteria for the season.
“With our preparation towards the Carifta 2019, then towards the Carifta 2020 Games, we are hoping to see several of our middle to distance athletes participating in the championships as their base for the track season.
“As per normal each race is facilitated by one of the running clubs and the schedule is below. The age group and approximate distances for this year U10 and U12 1.5 mile, U14 2.0m, U17 2.0 – 2.5, U20, Open females, masters, senior masters 60+ 2.5 – 3.0m and Open Males 5.0 – 5.5m.
“The entry fee is $10 and $15 for the National Championships.
“There will be series winners in age group, a point system with points from each race and the top 3 in each age group awarded prizes. A separate champion in each age group will be awarded at the National Championships.
“Races get underway at 8:30am starting with the younger age groups working up to the adults.

- October 13th – Chaplin Bay West End Running Club
- October 27th – Fort Scaur MAAC
- November 10th – Astwood Park Flyers Track Club
- November 24th – Botanical Gardens Pacers Track Club
- December 8th – Clearwater [National Championships] BNAA
