Princess Ranks 7th In Best Resorts Awards

October 11, 2018

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has been listed in the top ten best resorts in the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Turks & Caicos in the 2018 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, and was ranked the best Bermudian resort.

The hotel placed seventh, receiving a score of 95.09 out of a possible 100, less than 3 points behind first place. In the list of 25 best resorts, 5 of them were located in Bermuda.

“Seventh place marks a sizeable jump in the rankings for Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, who were previously ranked by the magazine’s readers as the 17th best in the 2017 poll,” a hotel spokesperson noted.

“The magazine’s review highlighted the recent $100 million renovation of the hotel and the Marcus’ restaurant, recommending that travellers “get a seat on the 1,500 square foot wrap-around veranda, and pop some crispy fish chowder croquettes while you watch the waves roll by.”

“The Condé Nast Traveler survey was open to the public and in total 7,234 hotels and resorts, 583 cities, 453 cruise ships, 100 islands, 172 airlines and 197 airports were voted on. The average voter was in their late 30s.”

Tim Morrison, General Manager of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said: “We are delighted to have been voted the Seventh Best Resort in the Bahamas, Bermuda and Turks and Caicos in Condé Nast’s Readers’ Choice Award by our guests.

“To be the highest placed Bermuda hotel is a particular honour and one we could not have achieved without the hard work of all of our colleagues. We pride ourselves on creating memorable moments for all of guests and we look forward to climbing the rankings even further next year.”

The full ranking, published online by Condé Nast Traveler on October 9th, can be viewed here and in the November issue of the magazine, on newsstands now.
