MSA Students Tour Universities In Canada
Mount Saint Agnes [MSA] students are currently travelling through Canada on a tour of universities and colleges, selected to cover each of the students’ focus and interests for further education.
The students will be travelling for 10 days across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario, and visiting a total of 21 campuses, helping them to make informed decisions regarding their post-secondary applications. The tour started in Halifax where students had to bundle up for colder temperatures than some had ever experienced.
Principal, Sue Moench, commented on the importance of this trip for the students, “The university/college tour provides a great opportunity for our students to experience university life as well as investigate the wide variety of career options available to them.
“A great learning takes place as they visit post-secondary institutes they wish to attend and also learn about a country they could be living in for the next two to four years.”

“MSA students graduate with a diploma from the Alberta, Canada provincial curriculum, recognized internationally as one of the best education systems in the world. Students are well-prepared for the next stage of their education through the completion of a world-class curriculum, which lends itself especially well to Canadian universities,” the school said.
Mrs. Moench commented, “Most of our graduates choose to go to university in Canada. Last year’s graduating class saw about 15 of our students attending schools in Canada – choosing universities such as: St. Francis Xavier University, Acadia University, Dalhousie University, University of Western Ontario, Brescia University, Sheridan College, Niagara College and more.”

Mrs. Moench added, “On the tour, students will learn about university and college academics and entrance expectations. For many of the students, this is their first opportunity to be travelling without their parents. It is a test of their ability to experience independence while under the watchful eye of their chaperones.”
