BLDC Extends RFQ Deadline For Energy Plant

November 1, 2018

Bermuda Land Development Company Limited [BLDC] today [Nov 1] announced that it is extending the deadline for the Request for Qualifications [RFQ] for the Energy Plant project at Ships Wharf in Southside St. David’s, launched in March.

Applicants now have until January 31, 2019 to register as a proponent and February 28, 2019 to submit their qualifications for the energy facility.

The Ships Wharf Redevelopment spokesperson at BLDC said: “We have had significant interest in the Energy Plant project at Ships Wharf to date.

“Following the decision by the Regulatory Authority to extend the deadline for public consultation on the eight alternative generation proposals submitted in response to the draft Integrated Resource Plan, we have determined that extending our deadline is in the best interest of the project and Bermuda as a whole.”

RFQ documents for the Ships Wharf Energy Plant can be downloaded here. Additional information about the Ships Wharf Redevelopment Project can be found here.
