Cargo Delivery Service Interruption On Nov 16th

Stevedoring Service Limited [SSL], have informed its customers that on Friday, November 16, operations staff will be involved in a training seminar.

A spokesperson said, “This means that there will be no “over the road” or cargo delivery service off of the Hamilton Docks on that day.

“SSL parent company, Polaris Holding Company Limited [Polaris], has articulated its commitment to the development of its workforce, as outlined in their 2018 annual report.”

Warren Jones, CEO of Polaris, the parent company of SSL said, “While we make every effort to reduce service interruptions, we must accommodate training for management and staff as it is a vital tool in building relationships which ultimately improve service levels.

“We are Bermuda’s only stevedoring company and take great pride in our work. We are committed to the development of our staff to ensure Bermuda’s docks run smoothly for all of Bermuda.”

The spokesperson went on to say, “Should there be any weather or shipping related matters which affect the shipping schedule that week, this notice is subject to change at the last minute. Stevedoring Services Limited will work accordingly to ensure the needs of the community are met.”
