Jan – Oct: 1,489 Visit Hospital Due To Collisions
Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] road traffic accident statistics for January 1, 2018 to October 31, 2018, show that a total of 1,489 people required care at the Emergency Department due to road traffic accidents during that time period.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] 2018 statistics from 1 January – 31 October show that due to road traffic accidents:
- 1,489 victims required Emergency Department services
- 132 victims were admitted to acute care wards
- 18 victims were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit
- 8 victims 18 or younger were admitted to the hospital
- 8 victims were discharged to overseas medical facilities
- 116 tourists required medical attention
