Minister Caines Trip To Florida Cost $753.06
A trip earlier this month by Minister of National Security Wayne Caines for a review of their Emergency Operations Centres in Florida cost $753.06, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.
The trip duration was listed as from November 7, 2018 – November 8, 2018, and the web page listing said, “The Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne M. Caines JP, MP and members of the Ministry of National Security traveled to Miami for a two day review of their Emergency Operations Centres [EOC].
“The aim of the visit was to review the facilities’ best practices and how their procedures could enhance Bermuda’s emergency operations. During the visit, the Ministrys delegation conducted security reviews of key emergency facilities in Broward and Weston County.”

Always puzzled that eating expenses are typically low. Either our Govt. Ministers are eating fast food or cereal for dinner.
So he goes off for one day. Gets there late morning & has to be back at the airport mid afternoon or so next day. What in the world did he learn that could not have been seen online? TM Caines was off on another junket. Nothing more.
Hope he was supervised this time, in which case what was the size of the entourage & what was their cost?
Where does he get his plane tickets as I have never seen one for $502!!
Business class too.
