83-Year-Old Struck By Car In Stable Condition
An 83-year-old man is listed in stable condition in King Edward Memorial Hospital after a car being driven out of a Hamilton parking lot struck him yesterday morning [Jan 21], according to police.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 11am Monday, January 21st police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported collision involving a car and a pedestrian outside Quickie Lickie Laundromat off Serpentine Road in the City of Hamilton.
“It appears that an 83-year-old Hamilton parish man was walking along the sidewalk in front of the laundromat when a car being driven out of the parking lot struck him.
“The injured pedestrian was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and at last check this afternoon [January 22nd] was listed in stable condition on a general ward.
“Any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
