Impact Mentoring To Host Open Houses
Since 2006 when Impact Mentoring Academy opened its doors, it’s mission has been to provide an environment and experience for Bermuda’s Young men to develop the unique potential that lives in all of them.
Impact encourages the community to learn the unique system they’ve developed that aims puts Bermuda’s young men on their path to greatness, during their Annual Open House Jan 30 & 31.
“Boys and girls generally learn differently. We have found, speaking with parents who have tried everything, have shared that the education system, public or private, seems to be more suited to how girls learn;” shares executive director Chris Crumpler.
“While there is nothing inherently wrong with ensuring our girls reach their potential, it seems as though boys have slipped through the cracks, not being able to conform to a very narrow way of teaching and learning. In the 4 years I’ve been with Impact, we’re crafting an environment that is tailored to support the best learning environment for boys. We are focusing on ensuring we teach the way they learn.”
“We want to invite the community to visit us, and get an idea of how this works. We’ve organized a series of monthly open houses with the first set for next week, Jan 30 & 31, from 8:30am – 10:30am.”
“During the open house, parents/guardians and child[ren] will be able to participate in our morning routine, receive a tour of the school, and truly experience what makes IMA different. From how we start our day, to the varied academics, to sports and community service. We are building young boys into rounded men, who have the world as their oyster.”
