Police Continue Investigating Fatal Boat Collision

The police are continuing their investigation into the fatal boat collision that took place on January 1st and resulted in the death of 24-year-old Adrian Hassell.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check this morning [January 3rd] the injured 30-year-old man said to be from Smith’s parish – and believed to be the operator of the powerboat involved in the early morning New Year’s Day crash that claimed the life of 24-year-old Mr. Adrian Hassell – was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital, after initially being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

“The investigation continues and the investigating officer is renewing the appeal for anyone who may have seen or spoken to Mr. Hassell on the evening of December 31st [New Year’s Eve] – particularly at City of Hamilton establishments Dog House or Pickled Onion on Front Street – as well as anyone who may have seen or spoken to the friends he was with that night.
