Sibling Athletes Return To School In England

It was a welcome and prosperous return to base for the brother and sister tandem of Diionne and Daaimah Millett, who returned to Langley School in Norwich, England as the young man scored twice for the school soccer outfit, while his sister was named captain of Langley ‘A’ Netball Team.
Both were active during the Christmas and festive period, Daaimah playing with Phoenix in the Bermuda Netball Association [BNA] competitions and her brother playing with Dandy Town in the Expansion League as well as making his début in senior cup competition as a second-half substitute for the Hornets during their Friendship Trophy semi-final against Boulevard, won 2-1 by Town.
Some of Daaimah’s strengths have been her defence, ability to communicate leadership and grit on the court and off. She plays tough on defence varying from the Goal Defence and Wing Defence, with some capability marshalling at Centre and is was these qualities that led the coaching staff to grant Daaimah the captaincy.
For Diionne it was more business as usual as he powered home a brace to take his overall season tally to 12 goals from just seven matches, the school, which has Norwich City FC Legend Grant Holt as Director of Football and yet with strong ties to the English league club and its academy structure.
