Photos: Budgies Win Field Hockey Match
The Bermuda Field Hockey Federation’s season resumed at the National Sports Center with a single game, which saw the Budgies defeat the Sandpipers 6 – 0. The Budgies went into the the lead with a field goal in the 2nd minute, they doubled the lead with another field goal only three minutes later, and hey recorded their 3rd goal in the 31st minute as they took a 3 – 0 lead to the break.
They went on to score three more goals in the second half to earn the 6-0 victory, with Sandpipers goalkeeper Christina Stephens Weser diving to her right to make a spectacular save in the final minutes to deny the Budgies a chance to get on the score sheet.
