QPR: Chances Of Signing Nahki Wells Is ‘Slim’

February 13, 2019

Queens Park Rangers CEO Lee Hoos said that the chances of signing footballers that currently play for them on loan deals  — including Bermuda’s Nahki Wells – in the summer “are slim, but refuses to rule it out altogether.”

This is according to a report from Football London which said, “Lee Hoos has admitted that the chances of signing Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed and Geoff Cameron in the summer are slim, but refuses to rule it out altogether.

“The trio joined Queens Park Rangers on season-long loan deals last summer from Burnley, Brighton and Stoke City respectively.

“It’s thought that the three players are among the highest earner in the QPR first team squad, and with the Hoops very much cutting their cloth accordingly, it appears unlikely that the west London side will be able to compete in terms of making a permanent move for any of the three players.

Speaking to Football.London , QPR’s CEO Lee Hoos said: “You never say never, but the likelihood is that they’ll go back to their parent clubs.

“I’m sure their clubs will have their own ideas on what to do with those players as well, so we just have to see how that goes.

“One of the good things about doing a loan is that you’re not committed. Instead of having a level of salary over three years, you only have it for one year and so you can manage it on a year by year basis.”

The Bermudian striker joined QPR last summer on a season long loan from Burnley. and has scored multiple goals for the Championship club.
