Three Local Girls Model In NY For Aqua Designs
Bermudian youngsters, Azariah Greaves, Giana Cedenio and Callie Lucas were living the dream on the afternoon of Sunday February 10th as they walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for Bermudian designer Nicola Lucas of Aqua Designs.
Aqua Designs showcased their resort collection at New York Fashion Week, the collection of 15 looks included 3 tween designs.
“The organisers at FGNYFW allowed me to have the young girls model,” Ms Lucas said. “When I told the girls about the opportunity in September, the were very excited. Having only ever modeled in Bermuda this was an amazing opportunity for them.
“The girls all did an amazing job of showcasing the designs, especially as they had not seen the actual runway setup in New York, until they went on, it was quiet different to the Bermuda Fashion Festival,” she added.
Azariah, Giana and Callie got to meet the New York Fashion Week models and experience behind the scenes of Fashion Week including the full hair and makeup, and they are all looking forward to auditioning for the Bermuda Fashion Festival again this year.
