BSSF Middle School Track & Field Results

Due to rain the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Middle School Track & Field Championships did not conclude at the National Sports Center, however seven records have been broken thus far, with the meet expected to be completed on tomorrow.

Deazhe Hill from TN Tatem broke Brittany Marshall’s record of 24.41 when she won the Under 12 Girls Discus Throw with a top toss of 27.70m.

Mitayah Richardson from TN Tatem broke the Under 13 Girls Long Jump Record when she leaped 4.95m, which broke the record of 4.90m set by Za’Kayza Parson and Taahira Butterfield.

The Under 13 Girls Javelin Throw Record was broken by Dominique Brown from Dellwood, who had a toss of 22.16m, which beat the record distance of 21.82m set by Kesay Bell.

Bell from Dellwood broke a record as she recorded a throw of 22.28m on her way to winning the Over 13 Girls Javelin Throw; her toss broke Eleanor Richmond’s distance of 19.66m, and the second place finisher Isabella White from Somersfield Academy also broke the record when she had a toss of 20.88m.

Dellwood’s Kymaree Pitt broke Brady Sullivan’s Under 12 Boy’s Javelin Throw record of 25.00m when he had a toss of 25.70m.

Somersfield Academy’s Jannis Roberts broke the Under 13 Boy’s Javelin Throw record that was held by Dean Lottimore, who had a distance of 26.78m. Robert had a toss measuring 35.98m; Amias Lightbourne from Delwood also beat the record distance when he had a toss of 27.44m.

Kristen Cherrington from Delwood broke the Over 13 Boy’s Javelin Throw record when he measured a toss of 33.28m, beating Noah Simmons-Botelho’s distance of 31.40m.

Adriana Argent from Warwick Academy came within .06 of a second of equaling Taylor Ashley Bean’s Under 13 Girls 1500m record time of 5:14.70, with Argent clocked at 5:14.76.
