Sakari Famous Proud Of Impressive Season
High jumper Sakari Famous has described winning her first senior regional medal as a “blessing” after a season in which she also set a national record.
Famous won bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, last month, clearing 1.89 metres to set a new national record.
“Behind the scenes of this season was such a journey and to achieve my first senior area medal was a blessing,” Famous said.
“It was proof that mountains can be conquered!
“What I learned the most from the past months was that maintaining a posture to receive requires courage and discipline.
“I’m just glad to have had the wisdom from those who supported me!
“So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honour.”
