City Donates $1,200 To Two Local Charities

March 6, 2019

The City of Hamilton presented two local charities with donations of $1,200 each today, serving to assist the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda and the Coalition for the Protection of Children.

At the City’s Christmas party, their staff raised $1,200 through raffle ticket sales, and the City then matched this total, donating a further $1,200.00.

The staff were consulted as to who they would like to see the monies donated to, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda and the Coalition for the Protection of Children were chosen.

Several members of staff as well as managers and Mayor Charles Gosling were on hand today to make the donations, and accepting the donations were Patrina O’Connor-Paynter from BBBS and Kelly Hunt from the Coalition.
