Investigation Underway After Man Injured
Police are “currently following lines of inquiry” regarding a 55-year-old man who was “seriously injured in an alleged altercation,” and a 59-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the matter.
A police spokesperson said, “Detectives are currently following lines of inquiry regarding a 55-year-old man – said to be from Hamilton parish – who was seriously injured in an alleged altercation sometime between Wednesday, March 20th and Friday, March 22nd.
“He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit Friday night [March 22nd] and at last check this morning [March 26th] remained in the Intensive Care Unit listed in stable condition.
“A 59-year-old woman was arrested in connection with this matter and later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
“Any members of the public that saw this man between Wednesday and Friday of last week – or anyone with any relevant information – is encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 at the earliest opportunity.”
