Traffic Advisory For Upcoming Road Race
Motorists are being urged to use caution on Sunday [March 3] due to the Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10K Run and 4 Mile Walk that gets underway at 8.30am.
A spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works is advising motorists and pedestrians of the upcoming Running and Walking Road Race from Lindo’s Family Foods [Middle Road, Warwick] to Lindo’s Market [4 Watlington Road, Devonshire] on Sunday, 3 March from 8:30 am until 12 pm.
“Motorists are urged to use caution when passing race participants and to abide by the traffic management signs that will be posted along the race route.
“Motorists should also note the following roadway sections that will be used for the running and walking events:
Running Event participants:
- Begin race at Lindo’s Family Foods [Middle Road, Warwick] travelling in an easterly direction
- Travel along Middle Road to the South Road and Middle Road junction
- Travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget and Devonshire to the Collectors Hill, Smith’s junction
- Travel in an easterly direction along Collectors Hill
- Travel in an easterly direction along Verdmont Road to Middle Road, Smith’s
- Travel in a westerly direction along Middle Road, Devonshire until reaching Chaingate Hill
- Travel in a southerly direction along Chaingate Hill to Watlington Road East
- Travel in a westerly direction along Watlington Road East
- End race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store
Walking Event participants:
- Begin race at Lindo’s Family Foods [Middle Road, Warwick] travelling in an easterly direction
- Travel along Middle Road to the South Road and Middle Road junction
- Travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget and Devonshire to the Brighton Hill junction
- Travel in a northerly direction along Brighton Hill to Watlington Road East
- Travel in an easterly direction along Watlington Road East
- End race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store
