Bermuda Cricket Premier & First Division Results

St. George’s Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers, St. David’s Cricket Club, PHC, Somerset Cricket Club, and Willow Cuts all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 6 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 125 St. George’s Cricket Club 126/4

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Flatt’s Victoria batted first and they were bowled all out for 125, opener Reginald Baker was the top scorer with 54, Onias Bascome led the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling attack with figures of 10-2-27-4.

In reply Detroy Smith was the top scorer with 46, while Logan Jones was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers returning figures of 10-1-20-3.

Southampton Rangers Win by 2 Runs: Southampton Rangers 105 Bailey’s Bay 103

Two undefeated teams took to the Southampton Oval, as the Southampton Rangers and Bailey’s Bay were looking for the all-important win. Batting first the Southampton Rangers were bowled all out for 105, Tre Manders was the top scorer with 24, while Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 8-1-36-2.

In reply Bailey’s Bay were bowled all out for 103, Shaquille Outerbridge was the top scorer with 22, while Dion Stovell led the Southampton Ranges bowling attack with figures of 10-4-21-4 and Janeiro Tucker bowled 10-3-27-4.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 97 Runs: Cleveland County 115 St. David’s Cricket Club 212

At the Wellington Oval, St. David’s Cricket Club defeated Cleveland County by 97 runs, St. David’s Cricket Club batted first and scored 212 all out, Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 104, while Tybrae Robinson was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers returning figures of 10-0-47-5.

In reply Cleveland County could only manage 115, Steven Bremar was once again the top scorer with a knock of 24, Brian Hall returned figures of 7-2-20-4, while Justin Pitcher bowled 8-1-31-3.

First Division

PHC Win by 7 Wickets: PHC 125/3 Somerset Bridge 124

Somerset Bridge were bowled all out for 124 in their match against PHC.

Sharye Tavares was the top scorer with 42, Norrd Venkata was the pick of the PHC bowlers with figures of 7.1-1-19-4.

In reply PHC scored 125/3, Ellsworth Bean was the top scorer with a knock of 39, Tavares would also lead team in the bowling department with figures of 6.0-31-2.

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 57 runs: Somerset Cricket Club 243/8 Western Stars 186

The Somerset Cricket Club travelled to the St. John’s Field and took on Western Stars, the visitors came away with a 57 run victory. Somerset Cricket Club scored 243/8 in their allotted 50 overs, Dalin Richardson was the top score with 122, while Greg Maybury added 50, Seth Campbell led the western Stars bowling attack with figures of 10-2-43-3.

In reply Western Stars could only manage 186, Ryan Tyrell was the top scorer with 37, while Isaiah Richardson was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 8-0-41-4.

Willow Cuts Win by 61 runs: Willow Cuts 130 Warwick Workmen’s Club 69

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Willow Cuts pulled off a 61 run victory over Warwick Workmen’s Club. Willow Cuts batted first and they were bowled all out for 130, Chakote Basden was the top scorer with 24, while Shonari Boyles-Simmons was the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s Club bowlers with figures of 6-1-17-4, Jodi Maroni bowled 10-1-36-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club were bowled out for 69, Clay Darrell was the top scorer with 16, while Kwasi James returned figures of 7-2-12-3 and Faheem Swan bowled 6-1-22-3.
