Dance Academy “Dance Travels” On June 8
The Bermuda Dance Academy, directed by Nikia Manders, will be holding its fourth annual dance recital titled “Dance Travels” on Saturday, June 8 at 2.00pm and 7.00pm at The Berkeley Institute’s Cafetorium.
“Start your vacation early and travel with us as we perform choreography inspired by many countries from Around the World. Routines have been influenced by many spectacular destinations such as South Africa, Brazil, Spain, United States of America, Bermuda and many others.
“Our audience will enjoy an enriching adventure while they listen to folk, jazz, classical, funk and Caribbean inspired music. Both class and solo acts from a talented group of aspiring dancers will be highlighted as we explore the world through dance.
“Academy dancers are very excited and have worked tirelessly practicing choreography over the last few months in anticipation of this production. We are thankful to our parents for their continued support and commitment to our school”.
“Those interested in partaking in a concert filled with Dancing, Music and Culture are encouraged to purchase tickets from the Bermuda Dance Academy studio or online at ptix.bm. General admission is $25 while patrons’ tickets are available for $50.
“We are thankful to our dancers, teachers, parents, family and friends for their support and commitment throughout this event. It is their hard work and dedication that makes our work worthwhile.
