Entertainment Union On Buju Banton Performing
The Bermuda Entertainment Union said that representatives of Buju Banton made an application to them in April, they were satisfied with the information received which included confirmation that local artists would be included on the bill, along with payment of the required Traveler’s Dues, with the Union saying they “have no problem today with Mr. Banton performing here.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Entertainment Union wish to address the matter surrounding Buju Banton performing on our island.
“As the entity responsible for the protection of entertainers, local and international in Bermuda, we, the Bermuda Entertainment Union, wish to inform the public that representatives of Buju Banton had made an application to us in April of this year.
“We were satisfied with the information received which included confirmation that local artists would be included on the bill, along with payment of the required Traveler’s Dues.
“We had no problem then and have no problem today with Mr. Banton performing here. We encourage the public to support Mr. Banton and our local artists, Jesse Seymour, Live Wires, and DJ Chubb at the planned concert.”
