Bermuda’s Gold Cup Provisional 40 Players

Bermuda’s Gold Cup roster was whittled down to 40 players today.

The names released by Concacaf show a squad that has 14 overseas pros headlined by Dante Leverock and Nahki Wells. PHC has six players on the provisional team, while Robin Hood has five.

Bermuda will be required to submit a squad of 23 players to choose from when it starts its path to Gold Cup glory on June 16 in San Jose, Costa Rica when it takes on Haiti in the first of three matches over eight days.

Four goalkeepers made the 40-man provisional roster: Dale Eve, Jahquil Hill, Quinaceo Hunt, and Dashun Cooper.

Just five forwards were selected: Nahki Wells, Casey Castle, Jonte Smith, Rahzar Smith-Jones, and Tevahn Tyrell.

Midfielders dominate the squad, with the midfielders’ list including Osagi Bascome, Chikosi Bascome, Keishon Bean, Donte Brangman, Kacy Butterfield, Willie Clemons, Kane Crichlow, Paul Douglas, Liam Evans, Jahkari Furbert, Zeiko Lewis, Tre Ming, Diego Richardson, Cecoy Robinson, Tokia Russell, Knorry Scott, Lejaun Simmons, William Spencer, Reggie Lambe, Ernest Trott, and Warren Marco.

Defenders on the list include Justin Donawa, Killian Elkinson, Na’eem Griffith, Oliver Harvey, Roger Lee, Dante Leverock, Calon Minors, Daren Usher, and William White.

The oldest player is Cecoy Robinson at 31, while the youngest is Diego Richardson, who is the only player born in 2001.
