St. George’s Marine Expo Postponed Two Weeks
The St. George’s Marine Expo scheduled to take place tomorrow [May 5] on Ordnance Island has been postponed until Sunday, May 19th due to a forecast of inclement weather.
A spokesperson said, “The latest forecast is for SW winds 18 -22 with showers and potential thunder late Sunday morning into the afternoon. Based on this information and speaking to many of the key stakeholders, the event committee have unfortunately decided to postpone the St. George’s Marine Expo until Sunday, May 19th.
“While we regret the need to postpone, safety and considerations to our participants and attendees requires a clear decision in this matter.
“We hope that you will all join us in two weeks as we look forward to hosting this event.”
