A 22-year-old male motorcyclist remains in critical condition in the ICU following a collision on Sunday [June 23] in Pembroke, and the police continue to appeal for witnesses to two other collisions.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check this morning [June 25th] the 22-year-old male motorcyclist and off duty Constable seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd on Crow Lane in Pembroke remained in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are still encouraged to contact Sergeant Bernadette Lawrence on 717-2349 or via her e-mail blawrence@bps.bm as soon as possible.

Police Motorcyclist Hurt in Collision With Car on North Shore Road

A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:25am Monday, June 24th a collision occurred between a police motorcyclist and a car on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish, in the vicinity of Penhurst Park.

“It now appears that the police motorcyclist was exiting Penhurst Park on to North Shore Road to respond to a motorist committing a traffic offence when the collision occurred, which damaged both the car and the police motorcycle involved.

“The police motorcyclist sustained abrasions to his arms, while the driver of the car was not injured.

“Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately two hours while the scene was processed and delays were experienced by morning commuters in the area.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are now encouraged to contact Sergeant Cornelius Marc on 717-2233 or via his e-mail cmarc@bps.bm.”

Specific Witness Appeal: May 17th Crash at Stowe Hill, The Lane Paget

A police spokesperson said, “Inquiries continue regarding a reported scooter crash that occurred around 10:30pm Friday, May 17th at the junction of Stowe Hill and The Lane in Paget, where the 22-year-old female rider was injured.

“In particular, the investigating officer is now interested in speaking with the driver of a white Honda Fit style car that was in the area at the time of the incident.

“That driver, or anyone with relevant information regarding the identity of that driver, is encouraged to call Constable Gregory White on 717-2226 at the earliest opportunity.”
